The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a grant by the Office for Low Emissions Vehicles that is available to any business, charity or public authority to reduce the cost of installing electric vehicle chargepoints for staff by up to £14,000. And the beauty of this incentive is that you don’t need to own or have in use any vehicles within the company or workplace – a real incentive that exists to encourage businesses to get on board and can help give you the edge over the competition.
The WCS grant offers £350 per chargepoint socket up to a total of 40 sockets per applicant business.

I needed a cost effective solution for my small business – it was a pleasure working with Tim and the team to work out what was best for me. The whole process from start to finish was pleasantly painless – which is not what I was expecting!
I was hired to find an expert to sit on a panel for a large firm operating in the sustainable energy space. Not only did Tim deliver on the panel, but he shined as a real source of credible, research-backed knowledge. My client was so pleased with the outcomes and I have already recommended TCC to several other clients in the EV space.
We needed an independent voice of knowledge and reason when it came to our EV strategy for the business. We had been given conflicting advice, and we had to factor in not just cost, but ROI and also getting the right equipment first time round. Connect was invaluable in the options they presented to us, and they were able to help us navigate the decisions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone who is thinking about installing chargers for their business or employees.
